Are you considering purchasing property in the near future? Then you should consider buying in the Caribbean. Waking up to the ocean lapping on the pristine, white-sand beach beneath a cloudless sky right outside your window really is an unbeatable experience. Then, stepping out into that and witnessing some of the most consistently beautiful and warm weather nearly every day is something most only dream about.
Now that you are almost certainly considering buying property and moving to the Caribbean, you should know your options. There are plenty of stunning places to move within the Caribbean Sea, but one of the best places that numerous resources agree upon is the Cayman Islands.
The Cayman Islands are composed of three different islands: Grand Cayman, Cayman Brac, and Little Cayman. These three are unique in their own ways and offer their citizens different experiences. Grand Cayman is the biggest and most populated island of the three. It’s also home to the territory’s capital, George Town.
Cayman Brac is the second largest island, which has a residential population of nearly 2,000. Grand Cayman, in comparison, has around 60,000 residents. Little Cayman is aptly named; it’s the smallest island of the three. It only has a population of about 200 residents. Cayman Brac and Little Cayman are for those who like more tranquility and nature in their daily living.
If you would prefer to live on the most populous island, then you should more so consider Grand Cayman. This island has a plethora of places within it to live in that may suit your needs. One of these places is Rum Point. There are several reasons as to why you should consider properties for sale in Rum Point of all the locations available.
While there are other places for you to live on Grand Cayman, such as Seven Mile Beach and West Bay, Rum Point is a select place of residence. Let’s take a look at some of the reasons why you should live in Rum Point individually.
Rum Point is found at the northern point of Grand Cayman, which is well-known for its natural beauty. The beaches in this location are some of the most stunning in the Caribbean. The beach at Rum Point is white sand and soft to the touch. Its water is crystal clear and calm, housing some of the most colorful and stunning underwater life. The beach there is a prime example of what you’d imagine the Caribbean Sea to be. Another added advantage of the beach there is that it is perfect for anyone, but especially for families. It is safe, quiet, calm, and fun all at the same time. There are plenty of amenities there that effectively satisfy any and every mood, such as volleyball nets, hammocks, and picnic tables. No matter if you are looking for a place to have fun or to simply recline and forget your worries, this beach will easily supply you with what you need.
Because of its remarkable beach and clear water, Rum Point is ideal for those who love underwater activities. There is a lot to see under the surface of the water there, some of which will be jaw-dropping for nearly anyone. For those scuba diving enthusiasts, there are daily scuba trips at two different locations: the North Wall and East End. Whether you prefer to snorkel or scuba dive, you can experience the amazing underwater scenes of Cayman.
Besides snorkeling and scuba diving, there are plenty of other exciting water activities to indulge in at Rum Point! There is paddleboarding along with kayaking, wave runners, and sailing catamarans. Any kind of water sport you would like to indulge in, Rum Point has it just for you.
Another remarkable feature of Rum Point is its proximity to unique and enticing attractions. Just a 15-minute boat ride away from Rum Point, there is a unique place to visit called Stingray City. While visiting this place of interest, you can see plenty of stingrays! You can view them, but also touch, feed, and swim with them. They are some of the friendliest and most gentle sea creatures, so this can be an ideal place for anyone to visit. Starfish Point is yet another pleasurable and fun experience. It is just a seven-minute drive from Rum Point, which means you can visit it nearly any time you’d like. These clear waters lead to stunning five-armed starfish of remarkable and various sizes. You can swim near them and gently hold them, but always make sure to not take them out of the water, as they can be damaged quickly.
Are you curious to see the night stars both above and below the water? Then take a ride of only three minutes to visit Bioluminescent Bay. There, you will witness one of the most stunning natural phenomena known to man. While the sky is dark, the bioluminescent phytoplankton gathers and illuminate the water. This is due to their most effective defense mechanism. Their light both frightens predators and draws other sea creatures to eat these predators. You can explore this stunning show on your own or take a tour. Either way, you will be stunned when you see it and pleased to know that you live right around the corner from it.
While it is undoubtedly a wonderful experience to live in Rum Point because of its slower pace and notable tranquility, it can be occasionally fun to explore a more popular and faster-paced city. Fortunately, George Town is only roughly 45 minutes (24 miles) away by car. Plus, if you ever need an airport to fly elsewhere, there it conveniently is!
