1. Location
One of the greatest parts about having a condo anywhere on Seven Mile Beach is its convenient location to everything that Grand Cayman has to offer, from busy city life to tranquil beachtown life.
George Town
George Town is the capital of the Cayman Islands and located on the western part of the island just four miles away from Seven Mile Beach. If you are ever in the mood to wander around a town and be a part of a more eclectic environment, you could practically walk to it! George Town offers visitors and locals loads of exciting activities. You can find various tours here, including scuba diving, snorkeling, boat tours, and much more. There is even an aqua park there for added swimming and ocean fun.
There is also some key sightseeing to be done there. The town has Heroes Square, for example, which is located in the center of the city. It is a square filled with monuments and other sculptures that help explain the 500-year history of the Cayman Islands. It also contains the Mariners Memorial, which commemorates the lives of sailors and mariners lost along the Cayman Islands’ shores.
George Town offers more exciting places to visit for any history buffs. The town has the National Gallery of the Cayman Islands. This gallery provides guests with an explanation of the Islands’ unique art history and its progression in style. Fort George, which was used as protection during the colonial period, can also be found there.
The nightlife in George Town is an exciting element and is worthy of exploration, too. The town lights up at night, offering its wanderers a selection of night clubs, restaurants and entertainment.
No matter your taste or mood, you will find plenty to do in George Town, which is so conveniently nearby Seven Mile Beach. But, the location isn’t only convenient for visiting George Town, but also other great locations in Grand Cayman.
Starfish Point
Are you looking to snorkel or even swim with some sea creatures that are a bit more docile than others? Then Starfish Point, which is located on the northern side of the island, is the perfect place for you. It has been discovered to have over 2,000 different species of starfish in the area. Be prepared to be in awe of the myriad of colors, shapes, and sizes of starfish in this tranquil area of the island.
Mastic Trail
For those rare times you aren’t up for anything beach-related and would prefer to go for a hike, then the Mastic Trail is where you should head. You can explore the lush greenery that’s inland and discover what other beauty and wildlife lie on the island instead of on its outskirts.
Elizabeth II Botanic Park
The Elizabeth II Botanic Park is a great place to explore and admire the large variety of plant life on Grand Cayman. It is popular for being home to rare species of exotic plants of varying colors, shapes, and sizes. But, it’s not only exotic plants that are on display here. Visitors can view a traditional-style cottage that depicts how life was lived in the Cayman Islands in the early 20th century here or even gawk at the majesticity of the Grand Cayman Blue Iguana, which is endangered and can only be found on Grand Cayman. This well-maintained park is home to this rare species of iguana, but also to other endangered and rare species of flora and fauna.
