• Myth #1: Moving to the Cayman Islands is extremely difficult

  The ports in the Cayman Islands are currently closed until 2022, but before the pandemic hit, many cruise ships would stop off the coast of George Town, Grand Cayman daily.

  Simply put, the Cayman Islands is indeed a popular stop for cruise ships. However, that doesn’t mean it is only a place for tourists on cruise ships to visit. The population of the Islands is approximately 64,958 as of 2020, but only 37,887 are local Caymanians. Therefore, roughly half of the population of the territory is foreigners.

  For “natural” activities, you can explore the Cayman Crystal Caves. You could visit “Hell,” which is a large collection of black jagged limestone and salt deposits. They look similar to those stalagmites people tend to associate with hell, but these deposits are 100% real and are 24 million years old. How about that for an exciting excursion?

  The Elizabeth II Botanic Park is another beautiful place to explore in the Caymans, as it contains a wide variety of flora and fauna from the Islands, including the rare and Caymans’ own Grand Cayman Blue Iguana.

  There are other stunning and enamoring places to visit in the Cayman Islands, like the Mastic Trail for hiking and the Bio-Luminescent Bay for a unique and otherworldly natural phenomenon.
